Personal development or self improvement .

“These consist of activities that develop a person’s capabilities and potential, build human capital, facilitate employability, and enhance quality of life and the realization of dreams and aspirations.”(Wikipedia)

Personal development can also be defined as the process of improving oneself physically, spiritually and economically to achieve certain goals in those aspects.

When you are developing yourself physically, here we are looking at increase in size, broader chest, agility, stamina and some other certain features best known to the individual. When we look at the spiritual aspect, this will take us into the religious aspect where individuals build his or her mind beyond normal understanding of man. Examples could be seen in our religious leaders that go in spirit, the realm the naked eye can't see. Developing oneself economically deals with the improvement in the way he /she will present himself in the market economy. How can such individuals survive the competition in the market sector?

"Relationship is the way in which two or more people or things are connected, or the state of being connected." (Oxford advanced learner dictionary)

When we are talking about relationships, we are talking about the association between two variables. The connection between them that makes them co_exsit, or that makes them become a whole. Relationships can also occur between a male figure and a female figure that make both come together for romantic feelings felt towards each other and plan to live together which eventually leads to marriage.

So when we are talking about personal development and relationship,we are looking at the picture whereby an individual improves himself and the interplay that will occur between people and their social context. How an individual grow, improve and development himself while in a relationship with the opposite sex, or how developing oneself won't affect the relationship with other people or things.
